GAITED HORSES
 Our primary goal with our gaited horse program is to produce TN Walking/Spotted Saddle Horse foals that will become versatile trail horses - with a smooth gait, sound mind, solid conformation, and with a little splash of color. We trail ride in many different places and love to be able to move out in a smooth gait when the opportunity presents itself. We value the wonderful gait, but also need horses with strong hips and sure feet to get up those steep climbs and rocky trails we sometimes encounter. We do not choose our breeding stock on color alone, but strive to find the best in color for our breeding program. If you are going to go down the trail, you might as well go in comfort - and style! We have an interest in showing in pleasure trail classes - but we are quite a distance from the heart of the Spotted Saddle association shows, so showing probably will never be our top priority. We do hope to be in the ring on occasion, though, and look forward to meeting more Spotted Saddle horse enthusiasts in the coming years! |
